Mom’s Thanksgiving Stuffing Recipe
Cook Temp: Simmer
Prep Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: 2-3 Hours
Ingredients
White Bread
3 White Onions (number depends – use as much as it takes to fill the food processor)
1 Celery Bunch
8 Half Sticks of Earth Balance Margarine (28 oz)
1 full McCormick poultry seasoning
1 heaping tsp salt
1 level tsp pepper
Accessories Needed:
5 Qt Pot
Food Processor
First – get all of the ingredients together

Cut 3 onions (quartered) in the food processor (use blade in image below)

After processing.

You’ll use a different blade in your food processor for the celery (see below.

Make sure to cut the celery stems before putting them in the processor so they’re not too big.

Here is an example of how much was used.

Celery In Processor

Now that you have the onion and celery cut – put it into the pan.

Add the margarine or butter

Add 1/2 container poultry seasoning

Add a level teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Mix it all together

Simmer on low. Barely bulling for about 1.5 – 2 hours. Very low temp

Next you want to cut the bread for the stuffing. I used 3 loaves for an 18# turkey

Next mix the bread with the onion / celery mix you were simmering.

And there you have it. That’s the famous Grandma’s stuffing. Next – just stuff the turkey and enjoy!
